Thank You Mequon for Your Support.  I am Proud to Serve as Your Mequon District 1 Alderman.

My name is Robert J. Strzelczyk and I believe in a stronger Mequon. Growing up here, attending K-12 in Mequon-Thiensville Schools, running a business and now raising my family here in Mequon, I have experienced our community from multiple perspectives.  Mequon-Thiensville Schools continue on a 10+ year steady decline in enrollment, we continue to see turnover in our local businesses and potential new residents have started shopping Mequon as “one of the options” versus “the best option” for a new home.  It is clear, some changes need to be made if Mequon plans to get back on track.  I will respect tradition, listen to feedback from residents and serve with integrity.  I ran for office to serve the community where I was raised, I will make a positive difference for our city.

The Best Years of Mequon are Ahead of Us, Not Behind Us.

I Believe

The long term strength of Mequon requires a significantly more collaborative approach to community building, working closely with our residents, schools, businesses and neighboring communities. Success requires the development of a clear and organized plan focusing on 3 key goals:

  • Protect our rural feel, low tax rates and strong property values
  • Build our business tax base with companies that provide needed resources and generate a stronger sense of community for current and future families
  • Improve and maintain long term Mequon-Thiensville School enrollment by encouraging interest from families with school age children and provide inviting living opportunities for empty nesters, keeping Mequon a life long community
